²⁵ But what did you go out to see? A man having been dressed in soft garments? Behold— the ones being^[a] in glorious^[b] clothing and luxury are in the royal palaces! ²⁶ But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. ²⁷ This one is about whom it has been written [in Mal 3:1]: ‘Behold— I am sending forth My messenger ahead of Your presence^[c], who will make Your way ready in front of You’.
